  4. A.a. There is a 343 page book released on Jan 2010 about converts. its called: “They are Either Extremely Smart or Extremely Ignorant”. The good news is that it is an open source book. It will be of help. Its download link is:http://extremelysmart.wordpress.com/download-my-book/

  5. In my opinion, most of the groups and individuals claiming pro-Mulsim, pro-Islam are not using their efforts, energies, strategies and wealth to sending basic messages of Islamic faith and teachings through writing, meeting, voice and integrating to Westerners /Christians/Hindus but wove to dominate, jihad, harass (direct or indirect). The best strategy is to train in Islamic dawah, character, knowledge and simultaneously call for dawah one-to-one and one-many methods very humbly, honestly in order to seek God’s will only and solely and also NOT breaking the laws of the host countries. Muslim should call Muslims fellow to shoe best human character as Muslim and strong in character. I am also against some sort of ” Irrelevant Intellectual Exercises” to prove themselves philosophers or sodo-intellectual type. the tends also create confusion among the youngsters, Because of non-directional intellectual exercises . The Dawa is only and solely way to salvation in this world and life after life all other paths are vague.

May Allah guide us to serve Him and show us to ways of calling humanity towards its creater.
    Ameen

  6. Hi,

I was invited to a Church last week to deliver a Lecture on Islam. When you discuss Islam obviously all the media bias and Islam bashing come into play as well and so was reflected in over two hour Q&A Session which was supposed to be only 15 Min.

The question of polygamy (having more than one wife) also came up.

    The way the questions are presented and the mindset from which it arises have a preconceived notion that this practice is inherently wrong and unjust. To be short, let me go point by point;

    a) It is said that having second wife is unjust and is injustice to the women, my answer is;

    i) marriage cannot happen without both man and woman consenting to it (marriage cannot be forced on anyone from islamic point of view), so if a woman chooses to marry a man who is already married, she is doing so by her free will so why are we (specially the westernized ones) to take this freedom of choice from her

ii) Is it injustice to the First wife? The proponents of this idea that it is injustice to the first wife will say yes, but they forget that here a contract is taking place between two independent adult human beings, again based on their inherent right of the freedom of choice and freedom to associate. This first or the first three wives, knew this rule and entered into the marriage of this man knowingly and if you know it already and did not raise any objections then essentially you agreed to that. Islam allows women to put pre-condition to the marriage that they reserve the right to divorce if the man marries a second wife. So if they are so worried about it, they should include this pre-condition in the marriage contract. Who will be the looser by using this pre-condition, is another story

iii) Islam protects the interests of all the wives by putting equality clause in matters where law is enforceable and the women have a recourse in the justice system. This has been elaborated multiple times

iv) Adultery, as promoted by the proponents under the injunction of Freedom of Association saying that two adult human beings can have any kind of relationship without intervention from anyone does not provide any kind of protection to the women who are having relationships with married men and leaves these women to cry alone when these men move on to another one.

    v) Men want to have more than one woman and it is true of any society (Tiger Woods, Donald Trump and Rudy Juliani, are just a few examples of this enlightened society). Islam being a natural religion does not want to clamp down on this nature (fighting with your nature will lead to disasters). However does provide safe guards for each and every party involved. It does not allow men to have their desires fulfilled without them taking the responsibilities so that men who want to use this allowance should also take the responsibility.

vi) Disallowing multiple marriage while decriminalizing adultery at the same time actually give men undue advantage over women

    Thanks
    Dr. Warsi

  7. Geert Wilder stance is not new but it is revival of the ignorance of seventeenth century. Can you imagine hight of plurism in Islamic Society since and e during the last 1000 years even in the in the Europe Jews and Muslims were persecuted in Spain but Muslims were protecting Jews in Turkey. Christians lived under the islamic rulers in Syria, Palestine Egypt . No forced conversion and demolishing or restriction on church building was imposed but even Govt were repairing ailing church buildings. Evidence is there after 1400 year of Muslim rule a significant number of Christian live in Iraq, Iran, Syria, Egypt. They were never persecuted due to religion , obtained high position in the Courts.
I have strong and evident opinion that attitude and propaganda like Geert Wilder’s will increase rate of conversion in every country in Europe. Higher will be resistant and propaganda higher will be conversion to Islam. European individuals are free opinion makers.

Muhammad: Mukhayriq ‘the best of the Jews’

    MUQTEDAR KHAN

There are many stories that contemporary imams rarely tell their congregations.
The story of Mukhayriq, a rabbi from Medina, is one such story. I have heard the
stories about the battle of Uhud, one of prophet Muhammad’s major battles with
his Meccan enemies, from imams and Muslim preachers hundreds of times, but not
once have I heard the story of Mukhayriq, who died fighting in that battle
    against the enemies of Islam.

So, I will tell the story of Rabbi Mukhayriq — the first Jewish martyr of
Islam. It is quite apropos, as the season of spiritual holidays has begun.

Mukhayriq was a wealthy and learned leader of the tribe of Tha’labah. He fought
with Prophet Muhammad in the battle of Uhud on March 19, 625 AD, and was
martyred in it. That day was a Saturday. Rabbi Mukhayriq addressed his people
and asked them to go with him to help Muhammad. His tribe’s men declined, saying
that it was the day of Sabbath. Mukhayriq chastised them for not understanding
the deeper meaning of Sabbath and announced that if he died in the battle, his
entire wealth should go to Muhammad.

Mukhayriq died in battle against the Meccans. And when Muhammad, who was
seriously injured in that battle, was informed about that death of Mukhayriq,
Muhammad said, “He was the best of Jews.”

Muhammad inherited seven gardens and other forms of wealth from Mukhayriq.
Muhammad used this wealth to establish the first waqf — a charitable endowment
    – of Islam. It was from this endowment that the Prophet of Islam helped many
    poor people in Medina.

When Muhammad migrated form Mecca to Medina in 622, he signed a treaty with the
various tribes that lived in and around Medina. Many of these tribes had
embraced Islam, some were pagan and others were Jewish. All of them signed the
treaty with Muhammad that is referred to by historians as the Constitution of
Medina. The first Islamic state, a multi-tribal and multi-religious state,
established by Muhammad in Medina, was based on this social contract.

According to article 2 of the constitution, all the tribes who were signatories
to the treaty constituted one nation (Ummah). Mukhayriq’s people, too, were
signatories to this treaty and were obliged to fight with Muhammad in accordance
with article 37 of the constitution, which says: “The Jews must bear their
expenses and the Muslims their expenses. Each must help the other against anyone
who attacks the people of this document. They must seek mutual advice and
consultation, and loyalty is a protection against treachery. A man is not liable
for his ally’s misdeeds. The wronged must be helped.”

In a way, Rabbi Mukhayriq, who was also a well-respected scholar of Jews in
Medina, was merely being a good citizen and was fulfilling a social contract.
But his story is fantastic, especially for our times, when we are struggling to
build bridges between various religious communities. Mukhayriq’s loyalty, his
bravery, his sacrifice and his generosity are inspirational.

Perhaps it is about people like Mukhayriq that the Quran says: “And there are,
certainly, among Jews and Christians, those who believe in God, in the
revelation to you, and in the revelation to them, bowing in humility to God.
They will not sell the Signs of God for a miserable gain! For them is a reward
    with their Lord” (3:199).

Mukhayriq was a true citizen of the state of Medina, and he gave his life in its
defense. He was a Jew, and he was a true Islamic hero, and his story must never
    be forgotten.

If Muslim imams told his story, I am confident that it would contribute to
manifestations of increased tolerance by Muslims toward others. There are many
such wonderful examples of brotherhood, tolerance, sacrifice and good
citizenship in Islamic traditions that undergird the backbone of Islamic ethics.
I wish we told them more often.

  10. nice work
